Palanivel Thiagarajan had unveiled the budget on Friday with a Himalayan task of meeting the expectations from the people over the poll promises and addressing the financial uncertainty.
As per the White paper, the state has total debt of Rs 5.70 lakh crore and if the total debt is shared among the state's public, every family carries a debt of Rs 2.63 lakh.
The minister said that the financial condition has been depriving in finances unless reforms are pushed into the machinery to revive back and generate more revenue.
Thiagarajan said that the white paper was crafted with the support of many people and asserted that he will bear the responsibility if any discrepancy is found.
After twenty years, Tamil Nadu Finance Minister Palanivel Thiagarajan had on Monday released the White paper on the finances with the keen concentration of the ADMK's ten-year rule.
The DMK is in the riskier state that it has to balance the economic stability and roll out some of the key poll promises failing which it will pour more Achilles' heel to the opposition parties.
His statement has come when the Goa minister had demanded him an apology for allegedly insulting Goa at the 43rd GST council meeting that was held on May 28.
