The party's head office in Chennai has witnessed a clash between the cadres which has further revealed the magnitude of the political crisis in the party. 

Known to be the supporter of Edappadi Palaniswami, Arukutty has thrown a bombshell in the party demanding that both the leaders must step resign from the party.

By citing that everything was going well with the present dual leadership system, Panneerselvam had expressed his surprise over the sudden clamour for a single leadership. 

The voice for the single leadership in the party wasn't new but this time, the chorus for the single leader is accepted and backed by the senior leaders, who once rejected such claims.

The Chief Minister has said that the state government is ready to offer help to the Tamil people in Sri Lanka on humanitarian grounds.

Edappadi Palaniswami and O Panneerselvam are still finding it hard to stand in the same line regarding the political future of the party and Sasikala's plan to take over the party.

Paneerselvam has appeared before the commission for the second straight day and during the inquiry, he had twisted his own tale by opening up a fresh confession. 

The commission was set up based on the demand from Panneerselvam and now he has made an attempt to estrange himself from finding the fact of the final days of Jayalalithaa.

Petitioner Milani's advocate argued that Panneerselvam has failed to declare the details of a bungalow that was registered in his wife's name. 

Panneerselvam's wife Vijayalakshmi has passed away on Wednesday - September 1, in Chennai at the age of 63 due to cardiac arrest.
