The body of co-pilot Akhilesh Kumar was cremated on Sunday at his hometown Mathura, Uttar Pradesh in the presence of his family members and officials of Air India and Air India Express. 

Captain Deepak Sathe is one of the pilots who died of the plane crash. Sathe was planning to pay a surprise visit to Nagpur on his mother's birthday on Saturday.

Following the mishap in Mangalore that reported in 2010, the officials have issued warning ten years ago that the tabletop runway in Kozhikode is riskier for landing.

On Saturday, Union Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has visited the Kozhikode airport and took a review of the debris of the wrecked airplane. 

Sharafu gave money to Shafi and told him to use it to provide food for those who got stranded and for those who don't have jobs. 

The aircraft had hovered on air around the airport several times and it had made two attempts to land and aborted due to the poor visibility and heavy rains.
