The report added that the feature is currently under development and not ready to be released to all users.

Without mentioning any specific date of the launch, the company asserted that the feature will be available in the country in the coming weeks.

With the view to augmenting user security, WhatsApp has released a new update where users might get another tier of security. 

As the sequel of the outage, the trio of social media giants had relied on Twitter to update the users about the technical glitch and the progress made to fix it.
