Burevi cyclone was downgraded to deep depression and hovering over Ramnath
district for past 30 hours.

The Chief Minister had declared a public holiday on Wednesday and he appealed to the people not to exit their residences until everything gets into normalcy.

At least 31 NDRF teams have been deployed in the sea belt areas of Maharashtra and Gujarat owing to evacuate and rescue people.

According to the Chief Minister, over 5 lakh people have been evacuated and she stated that the cyclone could have caused damage worth Rs 1 lakh crore.

On Monday evening, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has chaired a high-level meeting to review the response measures against Cyclone Amphan in the Bay of Bengal.
