After the completion of the trial, the Madurai Special Sessions Court has found ten of the fifteen including Yuvaraj as guilty and convicted them, while acquitting the rest.
Being one of the startling caste-killing incidents in the state, the case has taken stunning twists and turns including the suicide of a police officer.
The police team led by the Superintendent of Police has been stationed in the area and the officials had affirmed that the situation has been brought under control.
"I want to say that if I have unintentionally hurt anybody's sentiments or feelings, I would like to express regret for the same. My love for India and all its people is eternal", Singh said last year.
In a statement, the police said that the department has been taking appropriate measures as per the provision of the law and acting in an unbiased manner.
By citing that the police can't tolerate any such bullying and discrimination, the superintendent said that the FIR has been registered soon after they got the complaint.
