The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a case against BBC India under Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) for committing violations in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).
The authorities said that the exercise would continue for some more time and stated that the exact time frame to call the operation closed rests entirely on the teams on the ground.
The United States on Tuesday said it is aware of the survey conducted at the BBC offices by the Indian tax authorities and refrained from offering its judgment.
