In what has become one of the crucial updates for Ajith 61, the actor will be sharing the screen space with a popular actress for the first time in 21 years.

In light of the Covid-19 spread, the release has got deferred and it has been speculated that Valimai will have a theatrical release in March 2022.

According to reports, the works to begin the shooting for Ajith 61 have started on Wednesday - January 19 in Hyderabad.

After missing the Pongal festival, the meeting that took place in Mumbai has seemingly become a turning point to finalize the movie release. 

Though the announcement had shocked the fans, they probably could have gotten used to it as it was not the first time the movie takes the card of deferment.

Earlier, Rajamouli's magnum opus 'RRR' has announced that it won't get released on January 7 as previously scheduled due to the rise in the Covid-19 cases.

As RRR's release has been postponed, Valimai is all set to give a big opening for the cinema in 2022 as it has become the first big movie to hit the theatres in the New Year.

Vijay and the makers of the 'Beast' have unveiled a new poster along with the release update of the movie and the update hints that the release will be close to what has been speculated. 

Besides rocking bike stunts from Ajith and Vinoth's interesting storyline, Valimai is predicted to give a massive opening for Tamil Cinema in 2022.
