Responding to the allegations surfaced around her in connection to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, Actress Rhea Chakraborty has dispelled her silence on Friday and said that 'Truth shall prevail'.
Ever since the death of Rajput, who allegedly committed suicide in his Bandra residence on June 14 in Mumbai, the Bollywood industry has been running into the controversies and allegations that leveled against the untimely death of the thespian. From targeting the nepotism to pointing out several stars, Rajput's fans across the country have been demanding justice for their favorite actor.
While the voices prevail for demanding CBI probe into the death of the actor from people and politicians, Sushant Singh Rajput's father Krishna Kumar Singh has lodged a police complaint against Rhea Chakraborty on Tuesday in Patna. In his complaint, Sushant's father accused Rhea of taking money from Sushant and he also said that she had threatened his son.
He further stated that Rhea was living with Sushant and she left his residence days before he committed suicide and she has taken some cash, jewelry, laptop, credit card, and Sushant's medical prescriptions along with her. She further blocked Sushant's number and she left after thinking Sushant wasn't of any use to her.
Following that, Sushant informed his sister that Rhea threatened him with revealing the medical prescriptions that he was not mentally fit to the media, after which no one was going to give him work. Sushant's father further said that Rhea and her family are responsible for the actor's suicide.
Following the complaint, Rhea has broken her silence and responded to the allegations by Sushant's family of abetting the actor's suicide. In a video statement that was released through her lawyers, Rhea said that the truth will prevail and she had faith in the judiciary. She said, 'I have immense faith in God and the judiciary. I believe that I will get justice. As per the advice of my lawyers, I refrain from commenting on the horrible things that are being said about me on the media. Satyamev Jayate, the truth shall prevail'.

According to the reports, the Supreme Court is likely to hear her petition of transferring the probe on August 5.
She also had made an appeal to Home Minister Amit Shah to order CBI probe into the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. The reports stated that currently, Mumbai police have been investigating the death and it has questioned over 40 people so far including Rhea on Sushant's death and the allegations that the actor was suffering from depression. Along with Mumbai police, Bihar police has started the investigation after the actor's family filed a case in Patna.
In her petition to the Supreme court, Rhea admitted that she was in a live-in relationship with Sushant Singh Rajput and that he was suffering from depression. She further stated that she had a year-long relationship with the actor and she has been in a state of trauma since the incident.
