The superstar of Indian cinema, Rajinikanth, has been ruling the silver screen for over five decades with his charisma and style. He has inspired generations of actors and filmmakers with his versatile roles and blockbuster hits. But he is not the only one in his family who has a passion for cinema. His elder brother, Sathyanarayana Rao Gaikwad, is all set to make his acting debut at the age of 80 in a new Tamil movie.
Sathyanarayana Rao Gaikwad, who is also known as Rajini’s mentor and father figure, has been roped in by Sri Lanka based Brilliant Creations to play a pivotal role in their upcoming untitled project. The film is said to be a family drama with a social message. The pooja of the film was held at the memorials of Rajini’s parents in Nachikuppam in Krishnagiri District on Wednesday.
The film's producer, has expressed his gratitude to Sathyanarayana Rao Gaikwad for joining the cast and expressed his faith in the actor's ability to give a standout performance. And he said that Rajini had wished his brother well in his debut and given him his blessing.
Since Rajini's early days as a struggling actor in the 1970s, Sathyanarayana Rao Gaikwad has been there to provide encouragement and advice . The Superstar celebrated his brother's 80th birthday together last year, and he has thanked and admired his older sibling on numerous occasions.
The film industry and the fans are eagerly waiting to see the debut of Sathyanarayana Rao Gaikwad, who will join the illustrious Rajinikanth family that includes Rajini’s daughters Aishwarya and Soundarya, who are directors, and his sons-in-law Vishagan Vanangamudi and Dhanush, who are actors.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is busy with his upcoming projects, including ‘Jailer’, directed by Nelson and produced by Sun Pictures, which is slated to release on August 10th. He is also shooting for his daughter Aishwarya’s ‘Laal Salaam’ and will soon start working on ‘Thalaivar 170’, directed by T.J. Gnanavel and produced by Lyca Productions.
