A surprise call from Rajinikanth to sweet success...Maanaadu team celebrates in style!

Maanaadu team has been celebrating the movie's success in style as the much-awaited picture has garnered massive reception from across and beyond the borders, which had given a crucial comeback for Simbu. After episodes of controversies and setbacks, Maanaadu has finally hit the big screens on November 25 and in what has become a movie that revolves around the time-loop concept, Maanaadu has been relished by Simbu fans and it is probably the first theatrical movie for Simbu after his physical transformation.

The movie team has on Friday unfolded celebrations for this sweet success and they were surprised to receive a phone call from superstar Rajinikanth. According to reports, Rajinikanth has spoken to Maanaadu director Venkat Prabhu and congratulated him and the entire team for the movie's success. Venkat Prabhu took to Twitter and expressed his happiness about the call from the superstar. He wrote, "#Thalaivar Rajinikanth called and wished!! Me & STR, and that's the tweet (sic)."

Suresh Kamatchi, who bankrolled the movie, had also thanked Rajinikanth for wishing the team. He took to Facebook and wrote, "This day has become special for us. Superstar's call and wishes had affirmed the movie's success. This heart of wishing the good has been keeping you (Rajinikanth) high on the throne. We have got more strength and my heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the entire team. Thank you very much, sir." 

SJ Suryah, who acted in a crucial role in the movie, has also got a call from Rajinikanth. Taking to Twitter, he said, "Today I feel that I got the greatest award for my acting skill. Got a call from our Superstar Rajinikanth sir. Sir, you made my decade sir. Your kind appreciation giving me a great strength to face this journey." 

On Friday, the Maanadu team had celebrated the movie's success during which Simbu and Suresh Kamatchi had exchanged cakes. Suresh Kamatchi shared the photos on social media and wrote, "We have shared the success happily." The fans have been relishing the movie and trending the hashtag #MaanaaduBlockbuster on social media to express their love and wishes to Simbu and the team for making their wait worth. 

Maanaadu is a science fiction time-loop and action film and has been made it to the theatres amid more wait and expectations. It is produced by Suresh Kamatchi under the banner of V Productions and while Simbu plays the lead role, SJ Suryah, Kalyani Priyadarshan, SA Chandrasekhar, YG Mahendran, Premgi Amaren, Karunakaran, and Manoj Bharathiraja play important roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music and the movie's total budget is Rs 25 crore. The reports say that the movie has raked over Rs 10 crore in the box office in Tamil Nadu in the first two days of the release.
