Vaadivasal has garnered such high standards and expectations is that it marks the first collaboration between Suriya and Vetrimaaran, who is majorly known for working with Dhanush. While the fans are already ecstatic since the update, an shocking buzz has been doing rounds on internet for a while that the project has been dropped.

The film is based on CS Chellapa's novel Vaadivaasal, which is about the popular bull-fighting event Jallikattu in rural areas. The current rumor says that the actor and director reportedly parted ways over creative differences. But the movie's producer, Kalaipuli S Thanu, has shot down the rumours.

In a recent interview with a national media , he stated, "There is no truth to these rumours. It appears that people are spreading this information for the sake of getting some sort of media attention. Please do not spread this rumour amongst your fans. Production on the film has not been cancelled, and pre-production is well under way."

He also mentioned that Vetrimaaran is currently working on 'Viduthalai' and will begin filming 'Vaadivasal' once he finishes up with the Vijay Sethupathi and Soori film. As for "Vaadivaasal," we should soon hear some official updates. After a brief pause, he remarked," We have big plans for Vaadivaasal and we have been invested in the film for the past few months. Even the pre-production work is being done on a huge scale. We will come up with announcements regarding Vaadivaasal in the coming months."

It's worth noting that Suriya and director Bala hit the headlines recently when they dropped their film Vanangaan due to creative differences and issued a joint statement explaining the decision. Suriya is currently filming a movie with director Siva, for which the working title is "Suriya 42," and in which Disha Patani will play the female lead. Additionally, he is working on a Jai Bhim sequel with T J Gnanavel. Suriya is the lead protagonist in Vaadivasal. Andrea and Ameer are said to be joining the cast, and GV Prakash Kumar wrote the music for the movie.
