Suriya 40 gets the female lead...Big news for Suriya fans!

In relishing news for the ardent fans of actor Suriya over his next movie is getting into a potential shape, Suriya 40 has got the female lead to pair with the actor in the movie that has been directed by Pandiaraj. Amid anticipations and speculations, Priyanka Mohan has won the race and joined the project, produced by Sun Pictures. 

Suriya's next, which has been tentatively named as Suriya 40, has been underway to begin the shooting and the movie marks the first-time collaboration of Suriya and Pandiaraj. Being dubbed as a rural entertainer, the project has roped in D Imman to compose the music. According to reports, the movie team has been picking up the casts currently and it has been expected that Suriya 40 will begin the shooting by the end of February. 

In what has become a crucial pick, the movie's production house has on Thursday revealed that Priyanka Mohan has been picked as the female lead for Suriya 40. Taking to Twitter, Sun Pictures said, "Priyanka Mohan will play the female lead in Suriya 40". Priyanka Mohan rose to fame with her work in Nani's Telugu Crime comedy 'Gang Leader'. 

After she has been named as the female lead in Suriya's 40, she thanked for the opportunity. Taking to Twitter, "Elated to be part of this humongous project. Thanks to Pandiaraj sir, Suriya sir, and Sun Pictures for making this happen! Will ever be grateful. Praise the lord".

Priyanka Mohan has significant movies in her kitty and following the success of Gang Leader, Priyanka has acted in the second Telugu film 'Sreekaram' starring Sharwanad in the lead role and directed by Kishore Reddy. The movie will be getting released on March 11, 2021. Priyanka has made her debut in the Tamil film industry with Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming project with director Nelson. 

Suriya was last seen in Sudha Kongara's directorial 'Soorarai Pottru' that was released on Amazon Prime Video on November 12, 2020. The movie was based on the life of Captain GR Gopinath, who was the founder of the low-cost airline Air Deccan. Besides Suriya 40, Suriya also has a film with Vetrimaaran that has been titled as 'Vaadivasal' based on a popular Tamil novel that carries the same name.
