The Superstar Rajinikanth is all set to make a special appearance in his younger daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth’s upcoming film. The film, which is yet to be titled, will star Raghava Lawrence as the lead actor and will be an action-packed entertainer.

Soundarya Rajinikanth, who made her directorial debut with the animation film Kochadaiiyaan, featuring her father in the lead role, is now gearing up for her second venture. According to sources, the film will have Rajinikanth in an extended cameo role, similar to his role in his elder daughter Aishwarya’s film Lal Salaam, where he played a revolutionary leader.

The film is currently in the pre-production stage and the official announcement will be made soon. The film is expected to go on floors later this year and will be produced by a reputed banner. The cast and crew details are yet to be revealed. It's worth mentioning that Raghava Lawrence is a devoted fan of the Superstar, and they never get to work together in a movie, and this film hopefully brings the collaboration successfully.  

Rajinikanth, who is busy with his commitments, has recently returned from the shooting of his film Vettaiyan, directed by TJ Gnanvel. The film is slated to release this year and will feature Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh and Dushara Vijayan and others in pivotal roles.

Raghava Lawrence, who is known for his horror-comedy franchise Kanchana, last seen in Karthik Subburaj's Jigarthanda Double X, which received well reception for this performance. He is also shooting for film Adhigaram directed by Durai Senthil Kumar.
