The skyrocketed Kannada blockbuster 'Kantara' gets its OTT release: Here's when and where to watch it!

The recent and overnight success hit Kantara, which grabbed the buffs' attention from the corners of the town, needs no introduction. The film, which gained recognition from Superstar Rajinikanth and the Indian Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, is finally making its way to the OTT audience, and fans couldn't be delighted about more than this hot update. 

Rishab Shetty, who also plays the lead role in the film, wrote and directed the action thriller in which he and Kishore play a Kambala champion and an upright DRFO officer, respectively. The film was released on September 30, 2022, and it quickly became the highest-grossing Kannada film of 2022 and the second-highest-grossing Kannada film of all time, largely owing to the stellar performances of its ensemble cast. 

After 54 days of theatrical run, the film is to get released on Amazon Prime Video on Thursday, November 24th. The OTT platform took to Twitter and shared the surprise update and wrote, "Putting an end to all the wait!!!  #KantaraOnPrime, out tomorrow".  The flick will stream in Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu. Diehards of the film were elated at the news and enthused to see the feature for the high-octane action and visual treat directed by Rohit Shetty.

The film was the second production for Vijay Kiragandur's Hombale Films; the first was the KGF series. Apart from the leads, the film cast includes Kishore, Achyuth Kumar, Sapthami Gowda, and Pramod Shetty. Arvind S. Kashyap shot the film, B. Ajaneesh Loknath composed the score, and Vikram More was in charge of the action sequences. Dharani Gange Putra, oversaw production design. The movie was made with the budget of Rs 16 crores and it has so far earned Rs. 400 crores.
