Tamil cinema is all set to witness a mega collaboration of talents as Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi team up for the first time in a film produced by Kamal Haasan. The film, which is currently referred to as SK21, is directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, who made his debut with the critically acclaimed Rangoon. The film has now officially launched on May 5 with a grand pooja ceremony attended by the cast and crew, and the video of the event currently impressing the fan numbers.

Produced by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures Films India. The legendary actor-producer himself graced the occasion and sounded the clapboard for the first shot. The film’s music composer GV Prakash and other cast and crew members were also present at the pooja ceremony.  

The makers of SK21 have released a video of the pooja ceremony on their social media handles, which has gone viral among the fans of Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi. The video shows Kamal Haasan giving his blessings to the team and wishing them success.

The film has Sai Pallavi as the female lead, who will be seen opposite Sivakarthikeyan for the first time. The actress is known for her versatile roles and her dancing skills. She was last seen in Tamil Gargi, a courtroom drama.

The film also has CH Sai as the cinematographer, Kalaivanan as the editor, Rajeevan as the art director and Stefan Richter as the stunt choreographer.  SK21 is said to be a thrilling action drama that will showcase Sivakarthikeyan in a different avatar. Several sources claims that the actor will be seen as military officer. The film is expected to hit the screens in 2024.
