Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi starrer SK 21, directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, who made his debut with the crime thriller Rangoon in 2017. The film is produced by Kamal Haasan under his banner Raaj Kamal Films International.

The latest exciting source have for the fans is that the makers to unveil the film's official title and first look poster on August 15, coinciding with the Independence Day, as the film is said to be a patriotic period drama based on the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan, who was martyred in a counter-insurgency operation in Kashmir in 2014. 

The music for the film is composed by GV Prakash, who has collaborated with Sivakarthikeyan for the first time. The film also features Lallu, Ajaey Naga Raaman, Mir Salman, and Gaurav Venkatesh in supporting roles. The film’s shooting commenced in May this year in Kashmir, where the team has been shooting for two months in various locations.

Sivakarthikeyan, who plays the role of Major Mukund, has undergone rigorous training for his role in Mumbai. He has also reportedly grown a beard and lost weight to fit into the character. Sai Pallavi, who plays his wife Indhu Rebecca Varghese, has also joined the shoot recently.

SK 21 is expected to showcase Sivakarthikeyan in a way that his fans have never seen before on the big screen. The film promises to highlight the bravery and sacrifice of the Indian army. The film’s first look and title will surely create a huge buzz among the audience and raise expectations for the film.

Sivakarthikeyan has one more film lined up for release this year is, Ayalaan. Ayalaan is a sci-fi fantasy directed by R Ravikumar, which is said to be released on Diwali weekend. Maaveeran is an action entertainer directed by Madonne Ashwin, which will hit digital screens on August 11.
