In his upcoming film SK21, Sivakarthikeyan, who has won the hearts of millions with his comic timing and charming personality, will play a complex and difficult character. Biopic dramatizing the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan, a valiant army officer who gave his life for his country, the film was directed by Rajkumar Periasamy and co-directed by Stefan Richter.

Highest honor, Major Mukund Varadarajan of the Indian Army's Rajput Regiment was given India's highest peacetime gallantry award, the Ashok Chakra. In 2014, he was killed in the Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir during an encounter with terrorists. In eliminating three terrorists and rescuing his team, he showed tremendous bravery and leadership.

SK21, which is produced by Kamal Haasan’s Raj Films in association with Sony Pictures Films India, promises to be an impactful portrayal of Major Mukund Varadarajan’s extraordinary journey. The film also stars Sai Pallavi as the female lead, along with Lallu, Ajaey Naga Raaman, Mir Salman, and Gaurav Venkatesh in pivotal roles.

Sivakarthikeyan, who is essaying the role of Major Mukund Varadarajan, is leaving no stone unturned to embody the persona of the valiant army officer. He is undergoing rigorous training to attain the toned and fit look befitting an army personnel. He is also expected to sport a stylish and charismatic appearance for the film, adding to the anticipation among fans.

The film revolves around the heroic exploits of Major Mukund Varadarajan, showcasing his bravery and sacrifice for the nation. As the project unfolds, audiences can expect a gripping and emotionally charged narrative that pays tribute to the indomitable spirit of the Indian armed forces.

SK21 is currently being shot at various locations nationwide, including Kashmir. The film has music by GV Prakash and cinematography by Nirav Shah. Sivakarthikeyan recently enthralled audiences with his performance in Maaveeran, a action thriller that centered around a timid cartoonist who finds himself under the influence of a cartoon action figure and takes on corrupt politicians.

The film, directed by Madonne Ashwin, was a huge success at the box office. Sivakarthikeyan has also wrapped up the shooting of Ayalaan, a sci-fi film directed by R. Ravikumar, which is currently in the post-production stage.
