SK22 Update: Sivakarthikeyen’s next with AR Murugadoss rope this sensational actress!

The talented director AR Murugadoss, who is known for his blockbuster films like Ghajini, Thuppakki, and Darbar, is gearing up for his next project with the rising star Sivakarthikeyan. The film, which is tentatively titled SK 22, is expected to be a high-octane action thriller with a social message.

While the fans are eagerly waiting for more updates on the film, an exciting news for the fans is here. According to a source from TOI, the director has roped in Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur to play the female lead opposite Sivakarthikeyan. The source said, “Mrunal will be signing the project this week. She’s been busy with multiple projects, and hence it took time to sort out the dates. She will be playing SK’s love interest in the film.”

Mrunal Thakur is a popular actress who made her debut in the Hindi film industry with the critically acclaimed Love Sonia in 2018. She then went on to star in hit films like Super 30, Batla House, and Toofaan. She has also worked in web series like Sacred Games and Ghost Stories. She also gained momentum with last year released historical romantic entertainer, Sita Ramam which lead with Dulquer Salmaan.

If the news of Mrunal joining SK 15 is true, then it will mark her debut in Tamil cinema. It will also be interesting to see her chemistry with Sivakarthikeyan, who is known for his comic timing and charm. The film is produced by Lyca Productions and has music by Anirudh Ravichander. The rest of the cast and crew are yet to be announced.

SK 15 is one of the most anticipated films of 2023 and the venture to probably kickstart after The actor’s project with Rajkumar Periyasamy. He also last seen in Maveeran, directed by Madonne Ashwin, which garnered over 75 crores. The movie to soon make its digital debut.
