ZEE5 has announced that Siren, the much-awaited action thriller starring Jayam Ravi and Keerthy Suresh, will be streaming on its platform from January 26, 2024, as a special treat for Republic Day. The film, which was delayed due to big releases last December, now it's gearing up for the direct OTT release.

Siren follows the story of Jayam Ravi, who plays a former ambulance driver who was falsely accused of a crime and sentenced to 14 years in prison. During his incarceration, he plots to take down the corrupt system and the people who ruined his life. He escapes from jail and becomes a vigilante, who is hunted by the police and the media.

Keerthy Suresh plays a determined cop who is assigned to catch him, but also questions his motives and morality, whether he is a hero or a villain. The film, written and directed by Anthony Bhagyaraj, boasts of a stellar cast that includes Anupama Parameswaran, Samuthirakani, Yogi Babu and Tulasi among others.

The film boasts an impressive crew, with music by GV Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Selva Kumar SK, and editing by Ruben. Produced by Sujatha Vijaykumar under the Home Movie Makers banner, the art direction is handled by Sakthee Venkatraj M, while Dhilip Subbarayan is in charge of the stunts.

Antony Bhagyaraj, a former associate of director Arunraja Kamaraj, is at the helm of the project, bringing his unique vision to the table. Jayam Ravi is keeping himself busy with several intriguing projects include the sequel to the hit action thriller Thani Oruvan, Genie, Maniratnam - Kamal Hassan's Thug Life and he last seen in, Iraivan, directed by Ahmed, which received mixed reviews.
