As Simbu is going to celebrate his 38th birthday on February 3, the actor has on Friday unveiled a surprise birthday gift to his fans as he has announced that the teaser of his upcoming movie 'Maanadu' will be released on his birthday. Maanadu has been directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by Suresh Kamatchi, under the banner of V House Productions. Yuvan Shankar Raja composes music and the movie is getting filmed on a budget of Rs 125 crores. 

Simbu would be one of the celebrities who perfectly used the lockdown to unveil a transformation to resurge stronger in his career that had piled up with controversies and aberrant developments. The physical transformation and becoming unusually active in the cinema industry had raised many eyebrows and surprised his ardent fans, who relished the actor's magnificent comeback in his career. With a mind-blowing health transformation, he paced up for signing new movies and completing the shooting within the timeline. 

In what had surprised his fans and audiences, Simbu had completed 'Eeswaran' shooting in a month and his movie has hit the big screens during Pongal Holidays with the typical Pongal clash- this time with Vijay's 'Master'. 

Eeswaran has got a mixed reaction from the audience and still running successfully in the theaters. With the successful comeback and transformation, Simbu is busy with 'Maanadu', which was supposed to get released in 2020 and got deferred due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

While Simbu and Maanadu's producer ran into a spat earlier last year after the actor had stirred controversies over skipping the movie shooting and the months-long spat had come to an end after they had reached a resolution of resuming the movie shooting. After the lockdown, Simbu emerged to be super active and he went to complete Eeswaran in a short span of time and now Maanadu is in the final stage and it has been expected to hit the theaters soon.

The motion poster of Eeswaran has got released during the Pongal holidays and Simbu has on Friday announced that the 'Maanadu' teaser will be released on February 3rd, during his birthday. Taking to Twitter, Simbu has shared the news of the teaser release and said to the fans, "I have to be with you during my birthday. But, as per the accepted schedule, I won't be in town. I'm going out of town. So, friends, don't get disappointed by trying to meet me during my birthday. I will soon organize the event to meet you directly. We will meet". 

"As a small cheer, 'Maanadu' teaser will be getting released during my birthday. Enjoy. The current year would definitely be ours and successful. Love and gratitude to everyone", Simbu further penned and his surprise birthday gift has been virally shared by his fans across social media with many expressing their delight for the teaser. Maanadu would be presenting the treat of unifying several stars of Tamil cinema. While Venkat Prabhu directs the movie, veteran directors Bharathiraja, SA Chandrasekar, SJ Suriya, YG Mahendran have been roped in for the movie along with Manoj, Premji, Udhaya, Aravind Akash, and Daniel Balaji will be playing important roles.
