In a shocking piece of news, OYO founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ritesh Agarwal's father Ramesh Agarwal has died after falling from the 20th floor of a condominium in Gurugram, Haryana. The incident happened on Friday - March 10 and days after Ritesh Agarwal's wedding with Geetansha Sood at the Taj Palace. 

30-year-old Ritesh Agarwal has confirmed his father's death in a statement. He wrote, "With a heavy heart, my family and I would like to share that our guiling light and strength, my father, Shri Ramesh Agarwal, passed away on March 10. He lived a full life and inspired me and so many of us, every single day. His death is a tremendous loss for our family. My father's compassion and warmth saw us through our toughest times and carried us forward."

"His words will resonate deep in our hearts. We request everyone to respect our privacy in this time of grief", Ritesh added. According to reports, Ramesh Agarwal was taken to Paras Hospital for treatment. However, he was declared brought dead by the hospital after which an autopsy was performed. ANI quoted local Deputy-Commissioner of Police, Virender Vij saying that the autopsy has been completed and the body was handed over to his family. 

Virender Vij said, "Ramesh Agarwal, the father of OYO founder Ritesh Agarwal, died after falling off the 20th floor in DLF The Crest, Sector 54, Gurugram." A probe has been launched into his death and as the police didn't find the suicide note, whether he died by suicide or fell from the 20th floor by accident will be revealed after a detailed investigation. 

According to the police, they received information from DLF security at around 1 pm on Friday that a person has fallen from the 20th floor of a tower of The Crest Society in Sector 54 and he was taken to Paras Hospital. According to IANS, Sudhir Chaudhary, who conducted the autopsy said, "The body had multiple fractures. It appears that the victim died after falling from the high-rise." 

The police further said that it appears to be a case of accidental death but the real cause of death will be known after a detailed investigation. While no suicide note was found on the spot, the family hasn't lodged a complaint so far. It is pertinent to note that Ritesh Agarwal got married on March 8 in an affluent ceremony. The young billionaire had also hosted a grand reception at a five-star hotel in Delhi after the wedding. Three days after his wedding, his family has been caught into tragedy with the shocking demise of Ramesh Agarwal.
