In a shocking piece of news, actor Vijay Sethupathi has on Wednesday come under attack after a man had brutally kicked him from behind when he was at an airport. When Vijay Sethupathi was escorted by security officials, an unexpected event had turned him stunned and he comes towards the attacker, who was then removed from the spot.

The video of the incident has been going viral on social media with many users condemning the attack and demanding strict action. According to reports, the National Award-winning actor was attacked at Bengaluru airport on Wednesday when he was walking towards the exit. The visuals had shown that Vijay Sethupathi, dressed in a black and white checked shirt, was walking with security officials and when he nears the exit, a man wearing what looks like a white T-shirt comes from nowhere and brutally attacks the actor from behind.

A person who was standing behind the actor was seen trying to prevent the attacker, however, the latter kicked Vijay Sethupathi and the scene has caused chaos in the terminal. The gunned security officials soon removed the attacker from the spot and ensured that the actor has a safe exit. The details of the attacker and the reason behind the attack are yet to be known and according to reports, the attacker was under the influence of alcohol and he had disrupted the actor in the airport asking for photos.

As Vijay Sethupathi avoided him, he got angered and attacked him from behind. The reports say that the officials from the Central Industrial Security Forces (CISF) have been investigating the attacker. Several fans of the actor had voiced against the attack and as the matter has reached the masses, it has been expected that an official statement will be released from the actor and from the airport authorities.

Vijay Sethupathi has become one of the busiest actors in the cinema industry and has a pile of projects in his pipeline. He has braced up a setback after some of his last movies hadn't done well in the market and currently, he has been busy with a Hindi web series and he is also acting in Tamil movie 'Vikram', helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, in which Kamal Haasan plays the lead role.
