Senior DMK Minister and party's general secretary Durai Murugan has been hospitalized in Chennai due to health discomforts. He was admitted to Apollo Hospitals in the city and after learning about his hospitalization, several ministers and leaders have been extending their wishes to Durai Murugan for his speedy recovery. 

Durai Murugan has been serving as Tamil Nadu's Water Resources Minister and he is second in line in the party after Chief Minister MK Stalin. According to our sources, Durai Murugan complained of a fever after which he was rushed to the hospital. Durai Murugan is 84-years-old and it has been reported that he could have developed health discomfort due to his age-related factors.

The sources said he is doing fine and stable and being closely monitored by a team of doctors. The hospital is yet to release its official statement concerning his health condition, the treatment plan, and how long he would be getting treated at the hospital. 

It is pertinent to note that Durai Murugan has been reporting health setbacks for the past few months. In the late last month, he developed fever and fatigue following which he was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai. He was immediately treated by the doctors and his health started to respond for the treatments. Durai Murugan got discharged the next day after getting recovered.
