Senior ADMK leader tried to meet VK Sasikala? Major shock for EPS and OPS!

In a shocking development that would have disturbed ADMK leaders Edappadi Palaniswami and Panneerselvam amid their mechanism of building the political system of containing the resurgence of VK Sasikala in the party and in the state, a senior ADMK leader has tried to meet Sasikala in Bengaluru, where the latter has been staying after getting released from prison and discharged from the hospital.

According to reports close to the developments, Yuvaraj, who is the ADMK Secretary for Karnataka had apparently tried to meet the closest aide of late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, whom the current leaders of the party are working to barricade her entry and surge into politics ahead of the assembly poll, which is the first legislative election since the demise of Jayalalithaa.

VK Sasikala was serving a four-year prison sentence in Parappana Agrahara Central Prison in Bengaluru since February 2017 after getting convicted in the Disproportionate Assets Case. She got released on January 27, 2021. However, days ahead of her release, she developed discomforts and tested positive for the COVID-19 viral infection. She was hospitalized for over ten days in Victoria Hospital in Bengaluru and she has got discharged on January 31st, 2021.

Following her discharge, while it was speculated that she would be arriving in Chennai, she had decided to observe quarantine in Bengaluru and according to reports, she has been residing currently in a farmhouse in Devanahalli, outskirts of the city and it is expected that she would be arriving in Chennai on February 5 and as her arrival nears so are the assembly polls, the Tamil Nadu ruling ADMK, for which she was the General Secretary before going into prison, has been on high alert and the current leaders are staunchly warning the party members not to support VK Sasikala.

In their bid to keep the party under their control, the two ADMK leaders have been monitoring the members and whether the party has a rise in the pro-Sasikala wave. Displaying that no member would be spared by the party for supporting Sasikala, the ADMK leaders had so far expelled nearly five members from the party for reportedly hoarding the posters welcoming VK Sasikala. However, the leaders are now shocked to witness the development that the ADMK Karnataka Secretary had tried to meet Sasikala in Bengaluru.

According to reports, a video that surfaced on Monday morning had shown that ADMK Karnataka Secretary Yuvaraj and AMMK leader Sampath had gone to meet VK Sasikala. It had stirred fresh speculations around her arrival. However, Sasikala had refused to meet them owing to quarantine. Though the video had shown that the ADMK leader had tried to meet Sasikala, senior ADMK leader Pugazhenthi, who was Sasikala's supporter, had maintained that no one from ADMK had tried to meet Sasikala. He added that the party would take action against Yuvaraj if the evidence suggests that he had gone to meet Sasikala.
