Legendary director Bharathiraja (80) has penned a letter for the first time since his hospitalization in which he said, "we will meet soon". The letter has been going viral and has come as a relief to thousands of fans who are praying for his speedy recovery.
He has written the letter on Saturday, a day after he was shifted to MGM Healthcare Hospital in Aminjikarai in Chennai from a private hospital in T Nagar. In his letter, he affirmed that he is getting recovered. He wrote, "My dear Tamil people, Greetings. This is your beloved Bharathiraja. I was admitted to hospital recently due to a health issue and I am recovering due to the excellent treatment and kind care of doctors and medical staff."
He further penned, "I humbly request all my loved ones not to come to see me in person as visitors are not allowed in the hospital. I hope to get well soon and meet you in person." "I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all those who have kindly inquired and prayed for my recovery in person, over the phone and online after hearing the news of my admission to the hospital. See you all soon. With love, Bharathiraja", he added.
Bharathiraja was initially getting treated at a private hospital in T Nagar and with the view of higher treatments, he was on Friday - August 26 moved to MGM Healthcare in Aminjikarai in Chennai. He has been extensively getting monitored by a team of doctors. On August 23, Bharathiraja, after experiencing health issues for a few days, was admitted to a private hospital.
It has been reported that based on the advice of his doctor, Bharathiraja has decided to relocate to another hospital and for the fans and well-wishers, who were expecting that he would be recovered, this relocation has come as a shock. Speaking about his father's health condition, Bharathiraja's son Manoj has recently said, "Bharathiraja is receiving regular treatment for dehydration. He'll soon be released from the hospital and come home."
On Friday, prominent Tamil poet and lyricist Vairamuthu visited Bharathiraja at the hospital and inquired about his health condition. Speaking to the reporters after meeting the legendary director, Vairamuthu said, "Director Bharathiraja is completely fine. He is getting recovered day by day and the doctors are providing him with the best treatment. There is no need to fear and there is no chance of rumours. Bharathiraja is talking well and in good condition. He will recover soon."
