From Sarathkumar to Seeman...Surprise visitors for VK Sasikala!

When VK Sasikala's first-time appearance and address since her arrival in Chennai had shocked the ADMK leaders, there were also a lot of surprises around the expelled ADMK General Secretary when she paid tribute to late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa on the latter's 73rd birth anniversary.

The major surprise was the visit of some of the political leaders, who sparked huge speculations as these visits had drawn more significance given to their timeline - ahead of the assembly polls. VK Sasikala had addressed her supporters on Wednesday after paying floral tribute to Jayalalithaa. In what has become her first address since she arrived in Chennai, Sasikala had broken her silence and said that the true cadres of Amma (Jayalalithaa) have to come together to work towards forming Jayalalithaa's government.

She said, "Supporters of Jayalalithaa should come together and our aim should be what Jayalalithaa had told us- ADMK should rule the state for 100 years. We should keep that always in our hearts. All the cadres must ensure that the party wins and we should form Jayalalithaa's government. I believe we will do it because you are the true supporters of Jayalalithaa. You all will make it possible and I'll meet the public and cadres soon".

Through her address, Sasikala had called the supporters to defeat DMK and given a huge shock to the ADMK leaders that she is preparing to unite the members and take the party under her control. Her address has come at a high time when the current ADMK leaders had begun the drive of receiving nominations from the candidates for the assembly polls. As the current ADMK leaders and Sasikala had displayed Jayalalithaa on their fronts, the 73rd birth anniversary of Jayalalithaa had stirred the clash between two factions on who really owns the legacy of the late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister.

According to reports, Sasikala has been living in her relative Krishnpriya's residence in T Nagar, Chennai and she has been confined in the residence for the past two weeks by not taking part in any political events and not meeting the leaders. However, on Wednesday, by putting everyone into surprise, actor turned politician Sarathumar, who is the president of Samathuva Makkal Katchi, had met Sasikala along with his wife Radhika Sarathkumar. Sarathkumar's arrival at Sasikala's residence had garnered huge attention.

Sarathkumar had observed close ties with Jayalalithaa and he had contested the 2016 assembly polls in the ADMK alliance. As the next assembly polls near, the political observers say that Sarathkumar had discussed politics and the possible alliance with Sasikala if she takes control of the ADMK party. However, while addressing the reporters, the Sarathkumar couple said that they had met Sasikala to enquire about her health condition, as she had recovered from the COVID-19 viral infection.

In what has become a slew of surprise, veteran movie directors Bharathiraja and Ameer had arrived at Sasikala's residence and met her. Moments after Bharathiraja's arrival, Seeman, who is the Chief of Naam Tamilar Katchi had arrived to meet Sasikala and his arrival had raised the eyebrows of many across the state. Seeman has been a strong critic of ADMK and Jayalalithaa and his sudden visit to meet Jayalalithaa's closest confidant had stirred speculations.

While speaking to the reporters, Bharathiraja and Seeman had maintained that they had arrived to enquire about Sasikala's health condition. According to reports, Sasikala's meet with Sarathkumar and Seeman had come when she was surfaced with the speculations on whether she is going to lead the third front against DMK and ADMK in the upcoming elections. The sources say that there are possibilities that she may lead the third front and Tamil Nadu won't be surprised even if DMDK's leader Premalatha Vijayakanth meets her in Chennai.

Sasikala's call for the supporters of Jayalalithaa had come even before Edappadi Palaniswami's address to the members on Jayalalithaa's birth anniversary. According to reports, Sasikala's relatives TTV Dhinakaran and Vivek were present at T Nagar's residence when Sasikala paid tribute to Jayalalithaa and addressed the supporters. Adding to her address, Dhinakaran said that Sasikala has said what he has been saying. He stated that all Jayalalithaa's supporters and cadres should stay united to stop DMK from taking power.
