The tragic death of Vijay Antony’s daughter Meera has shaken the entire film industry. The young girl, who was suffering from depression passed away on September 19, 2023. Vijay Antony, who is a composer and known for his versatile roles in films like Pichaikkaran, Saithan, and Kaali, expressed his grief over his daughter’s demise through a press note.

He said that he felt like he also died along with his daughter, and that he had no words to describe his pain. The disheartening note made many celebrities and fans have sent their condolences and support to the actor and his family.

Among them, R Parthiben, who is a renowned actor, director, and writer, wrote a heartfelt reply to Vijay Antony’s note on X. He said that the letter shook his life and that he was deeply moved by the line “I died along with my daughter”. He said that he could feel the sadness of the father and that no comfort could heal his wound.

He also mentioned, "but even if God himself came and comforted him, the sadness was endless. While burying a single flower in the earth and sprinkling the flowers again on the grave. My heart also crumbled to dust and got stuck between those flowers."

R Parthiben’s emotional message has touched many people, and they have praised him for his empathy and compassion. He has also requested everyone to pray for Vijay Antony and his family, and to give them strength and courage to overcome this loss, and asked to shoulder the good deeds that Vijay Antony will do in the name of his daughter.

Vijay Antony on Thursday shared the letter which read in Tamil, saying, "Dear hearts, My daughter Meera was a loving and brave soul. She has left this world for a better place, where there is no discrimination, greed, suffering, or hate, She is still with me. She is still talking to me. I died with her. I have now started spending time with her. She will initiate all the good things I will do in her name,"
