The state of Kashmir and its residents have been waking up each day with their troubling companion of severe restrictions which has been in place for more than three weeks now, since August 5th, 2019.
Indian government had brought the state under its tight surveillance by droning entire region and by deploying thousands of Central Armed and paramilitary forces as part of enhancing the security grid in the state to combat and counter the threat and violence that were sensed to erupt ahead of revoking and abrogating the special status from the state, which has been in the books of Indian constitution for the past seven decades.
The entire nation had witnessed the scenes that had directed to shape the state of Kashmir as militarized zone since last week of July ahead to which the Central government had advised the residents that there were possible terror infiltration in the state and had urged Amarnath pilgrims to return from the valley after spotting the terror plot which was said to had established by Pakistan.
Ahead of having the pilgrims and tourists camped off from the state, the Indian government had ensured that the state and the region has been mapped with the drones and lenses of the security forces, who had been deployed from other parts of the nation. Exactly on August 5th, 2019, the state government authorities had imposed severe restrictions in the state and to the residents through flagging Section 144 curfew, which bans unauthorized and unwanted gathering and assembly in the state and suspending the mobile and internet services and the local forces had detained more than hundreds of state political leaders, activists and community leaders after which, Union Home minister Amit Shah had announced that the government had revoked the Article 370, which has been giving special status to the state and also announced that the state will be bifurcated into two union territories.
Since August 5th, the state have been living with those restrictions which had badly affected the lives of the residents where the areas in Kashmir valley and in Srinagar had hosted riots and violence against the security forces and against scrapping down the state's autonomy wherein the riots has been reported to be combated by the security forces. While living in the middle of restrictions without further notice, the state government authorities had slightly relaxed the restrictions last week where the state had seen resuming the operations of telephone exchanges and government offices but still most parts of Kashmir lives under restrictions which had kept the unrest and tensions alive.
The people of Kashmir had welcomed 26th consecutive day which hadn't welcomed them with peaceful live and adding to the books of restrictions, the state government authorities had imposed fresh restrictions in the parts of Kashmir valley as the precautionary measures of security forces ahead of Friday congregational prayers which will be observed in the state. The officials stated that the restrictions under section 144 has been announced on public address system and issued advisories to the people not to come out of the house.
