This week's birthday tweet from veteran actor Kamal Haasan to ace director Shankar made fans anticipate the Indian 2 sequel shooting and future updates in regards to the social drama action flick. On Wednesday 17th August many celebrities are touting the director on his 59th birthday, where the ace filmmaker is currently busy with the tentatively titled flick, RC15 starring Ramcharan.

Taking to Twitter Ulaganayagan's birthday note dropped as a piece of cake, as he wrote, "Let's be proud to be 'Indian'; Let's achieve more together! Happy birthday to the director @shankarshanmugh who made India look back with great movies." Kajal Aggarwal recently stated that the filming of "Indian 2" will resume in the middle of September. The news that a Kamal Haasan-Shankar project was in the works came as a surprise. According to rumors, the Ram Charan-Dil Raju film won't be finished until mid-2023, which confirms that work on Indian 2 will resume before RC15 is finished.

Shankar Shanmugam made his directing debut with the movie Gentleman (1993). His movies are known for sociable issues while narrating them in stunning screen presence and cutting-edge VFX. His most recent project, Endhiran 2.0, a sequel to Superstar, came out in 2018. He is now casting a fresh cast of characters for the upcoming movie Indian 2. Recent rumors suggest that Navarasa Nayagan Karthik may portray Nedumudi Venu, along with Sathyaraj, Kajal Agarwal, Siddharth, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Rakul Preet Singh, Gulshan Grover, and that an alternative choice may be chosen due to the untimely death of Vivekh. After Vikram, Anirudh Ravichander, and Kamal Haasan will work together again on Indian 2.
