Rajini's political drama isn't over: Here's what he said and what the members demanded during the meeting!

Actor and political hopeful Rajinikanth has for yet another time given 'suspense' as his answer for the fans and the members of his outfit, who have been profoundly hoping that the superstar will take a political plunge ahead of the state assembly polls. While Monday's meeting was strongly speculated to end the game of incessant wait, it had eventually turned out to be another episode in Rajini's political drama.

On Monday, Rajinikanth had met with the district secretaries of the Rajini Makkal Mandram in Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam in Chennai, and the meeting was widely surfaced with the spotlight and speculations about the actor's political entry. The meeting had started at 10 am and lasted for about 90 minutes during which Rajinikanth asked the district secretaries about the launch of the political party and the possibilities of the surge ahead of the state assembly polls.

According to reports, the meeting was attended by around 50 people who are district office bearers of Rajini Makkal Mandram. The actor has reviewed about the situation for the political plunge and discussed about the pros and cons if he launches the party. The superstar has instructed the members of the outfit to continue their efforts to strengthen the outfit. On his political entry, the superstar has kept the suspense alive and asserted that he would announce his final decision about entering politics.

During the meeting, the members, who placed their views of taking the outfit forward, had taken the prospect and urged Rajinikanth to launch his political party and the members had demanded the actor to be the CM candidate of the party during the polls and not to announce someone else as the CM candidate and their demand had gone against of Rajinikant's statement that he said in March in a press meet in which he asserted that he won't be the CM candidate and he will name a perfect person who takes care of the welfare of the people.

However, Rajinikanth didn't give a space to break his suspense and remained silent over the demand. The actor had met the district secretaries one after another in private to understand their views and the reports say that the actor has urged the office bearers to continue to strengthen the outfit at the ground level across the state and Rajinikanth had expressed his displeasure over the functioning of the outfit in few districts and he may be forced to remove some of the office bearers for their anti-party activities.

Following the meeting, Rajinikanth came to the balcony of Raghavendra Mandram and waved at his fans who were gathered outside the premises of the marriage hall and in return, hundreds of his fans had waved him back and shouted in favor of the actor to welcome him to the politics. The 71-year-old septuagenarian was looking active and cheerful. After the meeting, Rajinikanth drove back to his residence in Poes Garden.

While addressing the reporters outside his residence, Rajinikanth said that the functionaries of Rajini Makkal Mandram had agreed to follow his decision and stated that he will take his final decision of entering politics and will announce it as soon as possible. The meeting has come at a high time when the state is fast-approaching the assembly polls and a week after the Union Home Minister Amit Shah had visited Chennai.

Following the meeting, some of the functionaries of the outfit said that they urged Rajinikanth to enter politics for the betterment of the people of Tamil Nadu and stated that the actor has listened and observed their statements and said he would issue an official statement by Monday evening or Tuesday. The functionaries said that they are fine with whatever decision the actor takes, whether or not to enter the politics. The reports say that almost all the secretaries had echoed the same notion.

While the fans and members are eagerly waiting to witness Rajinikanth's political venture, he has been letting them wait for a long time and Monday's meeting has concluded with no conclusion for the wait. The meeting has come at an important time when he was recently surfaced with speculations about his health condition. Last month, there was a letter, which said to be from the actor, which said Rajinikanth is considering not to enter politics owing to his health condition and COVID-19 outbreak. However, he denied that he had issued the letter and asserted that he will take a final decision after meeting the office-bearers of his outfit.
