Actor and political freshman Rajinikanth is all set to launch his political party ahead of the Tamil Nadu assembly polls as the superstar has revealed that he would be launching his political party by January 2021 and he would make an official announcement concerning his party on December 31st, 2020, three years after he announced to his fans that he would be entering politics. He has picked the Tamil Nadu BJP leader to lead his party, which stirred speculations whether he is allying with the BJP. 

Rajinikanth took to Twitter on Thursday amid strong expectations and speculations and revealed that he is ready for spiritual politics and a miracle will happen in the upcoming assembly polls. In his statement that he released on Twitter, Rajinikanth said, "With great support from people, an honest, righteous, transparent, corruption-free, casteless, secular, and spiritual politics will be formed in Tamil Nadu in the upcoming assembly elections for sure. Wonder...Miracle...will happen!!!". His announcement of entering politics has come as a huge relief for his fans and the members of Rajini Makkal Mandram as they have been waiting and demanding the superstar to enter politics. 

Through his announcement, Rajinikanth had asserted that he would be contesting in the upcoming assembly polls. He addressed the reporters at his Poes Garden residence in Chennai following his announcement of entering active politics. During his address, Rajinikanth said, "'I am ready to give my life to the people of Tamil Nadu. A political change is extremely essential at this hour. If it is not done now, it will be never done. We should change everything. I request with folded hands to those who had made my livelihood, to stand by me". The superstar said that the party work has already been started." 

Along with delivering his first message as the political freshman, Rajinikanth has announced his picks to lead his party. The superstar has appointed Arjuna Murthy as his party's chief coordinator and his appointment has caught major attention as Arjuna Murthy belongs to the BJP and he is one of the notable leaders of the state unit of the Central ruling party. Arjuna Murthy was the Tamil Nadu state president of BJP Intellectual Cell and he had participated in the party's recent propaganda of 'Vetrivel Yatra' along with senior leaders including BJP state president L Murugan. 

Arjuna Murthy had taken part in the meeting of the state office bearers that was chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah when the latter visited Chennai and met with the state BJP leaders on the preparedness of the party for the election. Following the meeting with the Home Minister, Arjuna Murthy took to Twitter and said that Amit Shah's speech had given a boost and refreshment to the party. Nearly ten days after the meeting with the Home Minister, Arjuna Murthy has been appointed by Rajinikanth to lead his political party ahead of the assembly polls. 

Arjuna Murthy was standing next to Rajinikanth when the actor made the announcement. While Rajinikanth appointed Arjuna Murthy as the lead, many took to social media and said Arjuna Murthy is the Tamil Nadu BJP leader and it had stirred speculations whether Rajinikanth is moving close to BJP by appointing the BJP leader. However, the Tamil Nadu BJP had said that it had removed Arjuna Murthy from all posts and membership of the party after he joined Rajinikanth's work-in-progress party. 

After joining with Rajinikanth, Arjuna Murthy had posted a picture with the superstar and thanked the actor for appointing him to the party as the BJP leader has now become the actor's hope. Along with Arjuna Murthy, Rajinikanth had named Tamilaruvi Manian as the party's manager. Manian has been one of the leaders voiced in favor of Rajinikanth in welcoming him to politics. Manian had held a political meet in Trichy years back supporting Rajinikanth's political entry and he also has been one of the reliable leaders of the superstar in advising him on politics.

Manian has strongly campaigned for Rajinikanth and as the superstar has been preparing to contest in the assembly polls, Rajinikanth has appointed Manian in a key post in his party. Following the appointment, Gandhiya Makkal Iyyakam Chief Tamilaruvi Manian said, "In Tamil Nadu, where the politics of hate is widespread, Rajinikanth will start spiritual politics which is all about love. Rajinikanth is there for people if they need an honest and great administration. For those who have faith that he will bring a massive change in politics, today is their real Deepavali".
