The wait is over for the fans, as Jailer is all set to make his OTT debut. The action thriller, directed by Nelson Dhilipkumar, will be released on Amazon Prime Video on September 7, 2023. The film will be available in five languages: Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.

‘Jailer’ is a story of a ruthless prison warden, played by Rajinikanth, who faces a challenge from a notorious criminal. The film has a running time of 2 hours and 45 minutes, with the first half lasting for 1 hour and 19 minutes and the second half for 1 hour and 26 minutes. 

Rajinikanth plays the lead role while Vinayakan, Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, and Sunil play supporting roles. The film also features cameo appearances by Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff, and Shiva Rajkumar.

‘Jailer’ is produced by Sun Pictures and has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The film’s cinematography is done by Manoj Paramahamsa and editing by R Nirmal. The film made a blockbuster hit and a milestone in Rajinikanth’s illustrious career. 

The film, which released on August 10, has reportedly grossed over Rs 400 crore worldwide at the end of day 7. Jailer has not only become the highest-grossing Tamil film of 2023, but also the third highest-grossing Indian film of the year, behind Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Prabhas’ Adipurush.
