Rajinikanth's 'Annaatthe' rocks at box office...Creates a 'WOW' milestone by breaking several records!

Despite a pile of negative reviews and criticisms, Rajinikanth's 'Annaatthe' is unstoppable and is dominating the box office by creating a WOW milestone. Annaatthe, helmed by director Siva, was released on November 4 as a Diwali treat and the much-expected movie of the superstar has eventually disappointed a large section of the fans and they had expressed that the movie revolves around a stereotype subject with many flaws and that it can be watched for Rajinikanth.

Interestingly, the factor of 'can be watched for Rajinikanth' has probably been creating wonders by keeping the reviews out of the game as the factor has been successful in inviting more audiences to watch the movie. It's been five days since the movie had hit the big screens and according to reports, Annaatthe is performing well at the box office from ticket sales to becoming the first Tamil movie to have the highest-opening after the lockdown imposed for the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Popular ticketing platform 'Book My Show' has on Saturday said that it has sold one million tickets for Annaatthe on November 5, which has become an unprecedented fashion. The platform had revealed that Annaatthe has become the first movie to breach the one-million mark after the second lockdown was removed. Manobala Vijayabalan, a trade analyst based in Chennai, has taken to Twitter and said that Annaatthe had collected Rs 34.92 crore on the first day in Tamil Nadu.

He said that the movie has earned Rs 27.15 crore on day two of the release and the grand opening had taken the total collection in the state to Rs 62.07 crore in the first two days and the movie went on to make Rs 100 crore at the box office within a week of its release. While day three had recorded Rs 33.71 crore, Day four had earned Rs 28.20 crore. Vijayabalan has on Monday said that Annaatthe had broken several records and become the all-time highest opener in Tamil Nadu and India in 2021 and the movie's worldwide box office stood at over Rs 174 crore.

In a tweet, Qube Cinema said that Annaatthe had collected $1.5 million across all first day, first shows in other countries, excluding the UK and Europe. Bankrolled by Kalanithi Maran under his own banner Sun Pictures, Annaatthe is directed by Siva and the movie has an ensemble cast, which someway had become the weakest point as the movie had displayed a flawed accommodation of several actors. While Rajinikanth plays the lead role, Keerthy Suresh, Nayanthara, Meena, Khushbu, Jagapathi Babu, Soori, Prakash Raj, ad Pandiarajan had played important roles. National Award-winning composer D Imman had scored the music for the movie.
