Tamil Nadu's new minister Udhayanidhi Stalin is in rain of greetings from political leaders to celebrities as he began his new political journey. To greet him in his new journey, a sea of people have been extending their wishes in the midst of large-scale celebrations rolled out by the DMK across the state to welcome Udhayanidhi's elevation.
Udhayanidhi took oath as the Tamil Nadu Minister on Wednesday - December 14 and the oath was administered by Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi. Udhayanidhi has been awarded with important portfolios - Special Programme Implementation and Youth Welfare and Sports Development. After paying floral tribute to DMK stalwarts CN Annadurai and Kalaignar Karunanidhi at their memorials, Udhayanidhi reached the Chief Secretariat and took charge officially.
The new minister is surfaced with hearty wishes from the doyens of the Tamil cinema industry. Taking to Twitter, Superstar Rajinikanth wrote, "My heartiest congratulations to my dear brother Udhayanidhi Stalin who has been sworn in as the Minister of Tamil Nadu." In his greetings, Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan wrote, "Congratulations brother Udhayanidhi Stalin. You have become a minister."
"I hope you will not take it as a position but accept it as a responsibility and the experience of three generations will help you. There are expectations and your success lies in fulfilling them", Kamal Haasan added. Lyricist Vairamuthu wrote, "My dear Udhayanidhi, Kalaignar family just gave you the introduction. There is another face, the face of knowledge, which can be attained through actions. Clear the rebukes of political heir through your action and give greatness to Tamil people. Congratulations minister Udhayanidhi."
Actor Vishnu Vishal wrote, "Congrats Udhayanidhi Stalin na." Director Mari Selvaraj, who is helming Udhayanidhi's last movie 'Maamannan', took to Twitter and extended his greetings to the new minister on behalf of the entire movie team. Several DMK leaders have also joined the state of euphoria and poured a rain of greetings on Udhayanidhi Stalin.
DMK MP and party's deputy general secretary Kanimozhi wrote, "My heartiest congratulations to DMK's Youth wing secretary Udhayanidhi Stalin for swearing-in as a minister." DMK's Rajya Sabha MP Wilson said, "I congratulate my beloved Brother @Udhaystalin the future of DMK & Tamilnadu, on taking oath as Hon’ble Minister of TN Govt. The youth of the State have been energized by this new dawn for Tamil Politics. Hope to see you soon as Dy CM."
