Amid the row of anticipations over his political entry, Actor and political hopeful Rajinikanth took the podium at the Leela palace five-star hotel in Chennai around 10.30 am on Thursday to address the organized press meet and despite levied with the speculations, Rajinikanth kept the suspense and disappointed his fans once again over launching his political party. 

In his address that lasted nearly forty minutes, Rajinikanth said that he would enter politics after the occurrence of the elation and the revolution among the people and the youngsters. By keeping the suspense and the expectations alive as the state is just left with one year for the 2021 legislative elections, the actor took the prospect of the press meet to divulge and to unleash his three key plans and agendas that he would be implementing after he launched the party. 

Through his address, he pressed that he never wished for the post of Chief Minister and added that he will not be launching the political party if his fans and the members of Rajini Makkal Mandram fail to forgo their demands of asking him to be the Chief Ministerial candidate of the party. He expressed that he would lead the party and vowed that the party would name someone young who has ambition, vision, self-respect, dignity, and good social thinking as it's Chief Minister candidate.

His speech was packed with multiple elements including how the party would work and look like and what needs to be changed and the real competitors. However, his speech carried no signal when he would launch the political party. Through his three plans, Rajinikanth said that the party would be having limited posts unlike the rest of the parties and he asserted that his party would be filled up the people less than 50 years of age including women and these people would be accounting for 60 to 65% in the party while the rest would be filled up with the IAS and IPS officers and experienced people. 

He stated that he would knock each door to invite these people to the party with the motive of changing the broken system that prevails in the state. He claimed that entering politics without cleaning the system would be like making sweet Pongal in the unwashed fish curry vessel. In the middle of the address, he expressed his disappointment which he kept hidden during his address on March 5th. He said that he has disappointed with the members of Rajini Makkal Mandram (RMM) and stated that the good follower is someone who listens to his leader and a leader who listens to everything the followers say won't be a good leader.

His third plan is to have different people for the post of the Chief Minister and the party leader. He said that most of the regional parties had the same persons enjoying the power both in the party and in the rule and no one can question them. By claiming that this has to be changed, the actor asserted that he will only be the party head and act as the opposition to the government and he won't be the Chief Ministerial candidate. He further divulged that he would be facing the demonic powers of DMK and ADMK when he launched his political party. He stated that the DMK is not in the rule for ten years and Stalin (without mentioning the name) has the necessity of proving his legacy and the party was headed by Kalaignar Karunanidhi and it has a legacy, cadres, and financial power and on the other hand, the ruling ADMK party has the government and the treasury in its hands.

By highlighting that it might be impossible to win over these two Dravidian giants, Rajini, however, said that its the right time to fill the instability and the vacuum that persists in the politics after the demise of Karunanidhi and Jayalalithaa. He appealed to the media to stay united and educate people and avowed that " I need to see the elation and the revolution among the people and the youngsters towards bringing change after which I'll come to politics".

Rajinikanth has occupied the spotlight across the media after he decided to meet the press and earlier on Thursday, he met with the district secretaries for the second time in a week after which he drove to the Leela Palace and during his drive, hundreds of people marched behind his motorcade and some had sprinkled flowers that had shown how he has been celebrated. Thousands gathered at the premises of Leela hotel to witness the actor as he drove into the hotel by carrying a lot of speculations. Amid the speculations, Rajinikanth has kept the suspense and made his stand clear to the fans - 'not now, only after the revolution'. Before taking the podium, Rajinikanth has tweeted the link of his official youtube channel for the live stream.
