The much-anticipated Tamil movie "Jigarthanda DoubleX" starring Raghava Lawrence and SJ Suryah in lead roles, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, and featuring music composed by Santhosh Narayanan, has finally hit theaters, creating a huge fanfare among fans and critics alike.

This period gangster drama unfolds the story of Pandiyan, a notorious gangster in Madurai, who harbors dreams of becoming the first dark-skinned actor in Tamil cinema. To realize this unconventional dream, he enlists the help of Ray Dasan, a former assistant director to Satyajit Ray, eager to make his directorial debut. However, as the shooting progresses, Pandiyan finds himself hunted by rivals, leading to a series of complications for the film's production.

Released on 10th November 2023, coinciding with the week of Diwali, "Jigarthanda DoubleX" is a period action comedy film that follows in the footsteps of its predecessor, "Jigarthanda" released in 2014. Produced by Kaarthekeyen Santhanam, S. Kathiresan, and Alankar Pandian under Stone Bench Films, Five Star Creations, and Invenio Origin, respectively, the film has already captured the attention of cinephiles.
