The Tamil film industry is abuzz with the latest news on Suriya’s upcoming film Purananooru, which promises to be a riveting tale of power, passion and gangster world. The film was directed by the acclaimed Sudha Kongara, who previously collaborated with Suriya on the blockbuster Soorarai Pottru.
According to the latest sources, Adhithi Shankar is to be added to the film, as Nazriya Fahadh is said to be walking out of the project. Adhithi Shankar made her debut with Karthi's Viruman, and paired with Sivakarthiyen's Maaveeran which was released last year.
However, the film also faced some controversy, as it was reported that the popular actress Nazriya, who was initially roped in for a pivotal role, had opted out of the project due to creative differences. The makers have not yet confirmed the news.
The film has already created a lot of excitement among the fans, as it marks the 100th musical venture of the talented composer GV Prakash, who has delivered Soorarai Potru. The film also features a stellar star cast, including Mollywood star Dulquer Salmaan, who will be playing a key role in the film, and Bollywood actor Vijay Varma, who will be seen as a ruthless antagonist.
The film, jointly produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment and Meenakshi Cinemas, is expected to go on floors soon and is slated for a grand release later this year. Suriya is currently busy with Kanguva, directed by Siruthai Shiva. He also has his next with Vetrimaaran for Vaadivaasal.
