Puducherry businessman ends his life: Leaves a shocking reason for his death!

In a dreadful development that spotlighted the dominance of online games, a businessman in Puducherry had died after losing lakhs of money in the online gambling games, which had revealed that the games won't entertain us always, rather it would spiral us with its dominance which may lead to end life.

Vijayakumar, a native of Puducherry, had committed suicide on Sunday after losing lakhs of his savings in the online gambling games. He was running a mobile shop and some of his friends had introduced him to the online games which had become his slayer. While it started as a game initially, Vijayakumar had later got fully addicted to the game and he was pushed to witness his successful business get faltered.

The young businessman had lost over Rs 25 lakh after playing from three IDs. His addiction towards the games had later turned out to be his life destroyer as, after losing lakhs of money, he took the wrong decision and ended his life on Sunday. Before ending his life, he had recorded an audio clip in which he had urged people not to play and not to become addicted to online games.

In the audio message, Vijayakumar said he had used three IDs and have lost around Rs 25-30 lakh. He had played games day and night and eventually ended up spoiling his health. He had become more addicted to the games and that he realized his state after losing Rs 2 lakh in return for winning Rs 30,000.

He said that he had to play as he couldn't able to exit the game. In his audio clip, Vijayakumar asks his wife to spread his audio to let people know the adverse impact of online gambling and games. He pressed that these games should be banned before it takes more lives. His death had shocked his family and across and beyond the borders and activists reiterate to have parameters to scrutinize the online games.

Initially, his family members had filed a missing complaint in the Korkadu police station in Puducherry. However, it was found out that he had committed suicide following which his body was recovered on Sunday. The death of the businessman due to the online games had alarmed the necessity of regulations. Vijayakumar was surviving by his wife and a child.

The Madras High Court had earlier in July, after the death of a college student in Chennai after he lost money in gambling, had pressed the implementations of regulations on the online games. The High court had directed the Tamil Nadu government to adopt and pass the legislation towards restricting the dominance of online games among the younger generations.
