The much-awaited trailer of Thiruchitrambalam was released on Sunday and after his serious stints - as a journalist in Maaran and as an assassin in The Gray Man, Dhanush has promised a feel-good movie through Thiruchitrambalam and the trailer has been going viral with breaching the three-million mark. The movie is helmed by Mithran Jawahar, who has united with Dhanush for the fourth time in his career of directing six movies in total.
Thiruchitrambalam has been slated for a theatrical release on August 18 and Dhanush has sported a food delivery guy. It is his third movie in 2022. The trailer runs for two minutes and it has taken the viewers into the world of Thiruchitrambalam, better known to his friends as 'Pazham'. Dhanush lives with his grandfather played by Bharathiraja, and his father played by Prakash Raj, who is a reputable police officer. Nithya Menon is appearing as his childhood friend and while Dhanush's interests were played by Priya Bhavani Shankar and Rashi Kanna.
The trailer, which has received a massive reception, has been bagging a million views in a single night and has a prominent cast that includes director Bharathiraja, Prakash Raj, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Nithya Menon, Rashi Kanna, and many others, promises to be good family entertainment. By the time of writing this content, the trailer has crossed over 3 million views and counting.
The songs that have already been released have been quite popular among fans and this is the sixth project for which Anirudh composed the music for a Dhanush-starring movie. It had been six years since their last collaboration, "Thanga Magan," Backed by Sun Pictures, the cinematography is handled by Om Prakash while editing is handled by Prasanna GK.
