Prashant Kishor's new idea to DMK...Will it revive Stalin's camp?

With just one year left for 2021 state legislative elections, the top parties in Tamil Nadu have been striving to take the baton of power in the state and both ADMK and DMK parties are getting prepared to box each other on the campaign trail. Despite the accusations, controversies, and allegations, the ruling faction has been cementing the mechanisms to have another five-year term in the assembly whereas the opposition DMK, which was not in power for the decade, would formulate the policies to root the strong victory with the huge mandate.

As part of strategizing the policies for the 2021 elections, the DMK has recently signed a pact and inducted Indian political strategist Prashant Kishor to strengthen the policies to elevate the party's strongholds across the state.

Although Kishor's induction was criticized by some of the leaders of the party by claiming that he would intervene in choosing the candidates, our sources say Prashant Kishor and his team have been crafting the ideas to revamp the party's grounds. Kishor's IPAC (Indian Political Action Committee) has been concentrating on picking and finalizing the candidates for the legislative elections.

Adding to that, Kishor has recently prescribed a new idea to the party's leadership to synthesize and to unite the young members of the party through enhancing the party's social media platforms. With accord to his idea, the party's leadership has directed the party's youth wing and young members to highlight the party's developments and its updates in the social media handles with the view of reaching more people.

Following the directive, our sources stated that the youth wing has been trending the hashtag in the social media accounts to unite all the young members who had joined the party. They say that enhancing social media would give easy access to the members across the state through which the party can strengthen its name and stronghold across social media platforms.

The party thinks that the social media platforms would largely aide during the 2021 legislative elections and along with that, the DMK has been considering to award more importance to the young members of the party during the elections. The upcoming election is certainly the acid test for DMK and Prashant Kishor. The assembly elections would ratify the stronghold of the DMK and its also important and challenging task for Prashant Kishor as he is vying for hat-trick victory on his policies and campaigns. Earlier, Kishor has worked with Jagan Mohan Reddy and Arvind Kejriwal and both of them had registered huge victories and became Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Delhi respectively.
