In a dreadful development, a popular Tamil actress has filed a shocking complaint to the Chennai Police Commissioner against the former ADMK Minister by alleging that the minister had refused to marry her and threatening to kill her if she dares to speak about the illicit relationship. The complaint had stunned the party and has come in line when the state has been witnessing the exhuming of series of sexual harassment allegations from a prominent school in Chennai.
According to reports, Tamil actress Shantini Deva, known for her acting in 'Nadodigal' and 'Vaagai Sooda Vaa', has on Friday moved her complaint to the Chennai Police Commissioner against former ADMK Minister Manikandan. In her complaint, the actress had alleged that the former minister had refused to marry her after living together for five years. She shockingly said that Manikandan had made her pregnant.
She alleged that Manikandan has forced her to abort the fetus and has refused to marry her. Shantini further said that Manikandan has tortured her and threatened her that he will release their private photos and will hire mercenaries to kill her if she opens up about the relationship in the public. In her complaint, she demanded action against Manikandan and Bharani, who was also involved in the case.
According to reports, apart from filing a complaint, Shantini had also submitted photographs and other proofs of her relationship with the former ADMK Minister to the Chennai Police Commissioner. She also had sent a complaint to a Deputy Commissioner of Police in Chennai who deals with violence against women. Shantini is a Malaysian citizen and she had acted in Nadodigal and Vaagai Sooda Vaa movies.
Shantini is currently a part of the upcoming movie 'PUBG' starring Aishwarya Dutta and Bigg Boss Tamil fame Julie. Manikandan was the minister in the previous ADMK government. He was serving as the Minister for Information and Technology in the cabinet headed by Jayalalithaa.
He had later dissented against the Edappadi Palaniswami government and he was removed from the cabinet. Manikandan was serving as ADMK's secretary in the Ramanathapuram district. After expelling from the cabinet, he was sidelined and lost his stronghold in the party and the complaint with a shocking allegation against Manikandan had shocked the party leaders, which will fuel his decline in the party.
