Popular singer Chinmayi Sripaada and her husband Rahul Ravindran have become parents to the twins, a boy and a girl. In what has become a surprise announcement from the couple, they have revealed that the twins, a girl and a boy, have been named Driptah and Sharvas. Amid being flooded with wishes, Chinmayi has responded to the questions of whether the twins were born through surrogacy.
Sharing pictures on Instagram, Chinmayi wrote, "Driptah and Sharvas, the new and forever centre of our universe." Sharing the same pictures on Facebook, the singer wrote, "Throughout my pregnancy, I had a lot of people commenting right here on Facebook, many on Instagram and Twitter about me not having kids or not being woman enough etc etc. I understood first-hand the pressure women go through and watched it silently. More on this later. But it has been a learning experience about people."
She has also responded to the fans who thought that the couple had welcomed the twins through surrogacy as the singer didn't share with the public that she was pregnant. Reacting to such questions, she wrote on Instagram, "I'm absolutely loving these people who are DM-ing me asking if I had twins through a surrogate just because I didn't post photos of me being pregnant."
She further said, "Only those who were my innermost circle knew because I was protecting myself. I was and will always be extremely guarded about my personal life. My family. My friends' circle. Photos of our kids won't be on our socials either for a long while." "And if you need to know, I actually 'sang' a bhajan during the caesarean as our twins entered the world. Get a grip of that. More on this later. But for now, this is enough", she added.
Chinmayi Sripada is a popular singer who has sung hundreds of songs for movies across film industries, including 96, Kannathil Muthamittal and Mariyan, Endhiran. She had also been performed as a dubbing artist, vocalized for Trisha in 'Vinnaithandi Varuvaya' and more. Rahul Ravindran was seen in movies such as the Tamil and Telugu remakes of the Kannada film U-Turn and the recently-released Nani and Sai Pallavi starrer Shyam Singha Roy. They both got married in 2014.
