‘Thalapathy 68’ is one of the most anticipated films of 2023, as it marks the first collaboration between Vijay and Venkat Prabhu, who is known for his stylish and quirky films. The film is produced by AGS Entertainment and has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The shooting of the film is expected to start soon and the makers are planning to kickstart soon.
Now the exciting source has that Vijay and Simran are in for a treat as the signature duo is set to reunite on screen after a long gap. Simran has been confirmed to play the female lead for the older version of Vijay in ‘Thalapathy 68’, directed by Venkat Prabhu. The film also features Priyanka Mohan as the younger female lead, who will romance the son character of Vijay.
The film is said to be a complete action thriller, that will have Vijay playing dual roles and will see the father character facing off against his son. Vijay and Simran have earlier paired up in films like ‘Thullatha Manamum Thullum’, ‘Udhaya’, ‘Priyamanavale’, and ‘Once More’ among others.
Their chemistry and romance have been loved by the audience and critics alike. Simran, who made her comeback to Tamil cinema with ‘Petta’ in 2019, has been selective about her roles and has been working with some of the top stars in the industry. She has also to seen next in Vikram's Dhuruva natchathiram.
