The epic journey of Ponniyin Selvan 2, the sequel to Mani Ratnam’s masterpiece Ponniyin Selvan 1, has finally reached its destination and won people hearts. The film, which is based on the classic novel by Kalki Krishnamurthy, coming to digital screens soon. Ponniyin Selvan 2 is the culmination of the thrilling story of the Chola dynasty, one of the most powerful and prosperous empires in Indian history, which debuted in theatres on April 28th 2023.

As per the strong reports from the insiders, the film will be available for paid streaming from May 26th 2023 to June 1st 2023. After that, the film will be free for the digital platform subscribers from June 2nd 2023. Ponniyin Selvan 2 has an impressive star cast that includes Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jayaram, Prabhu, R Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Prakshraj, Parthiban, Rahman, and Lal among others. 

The film has been acclaimed for its cinematography by Ravi Varman, music by A.R. Rahman, editing by A. Sreekar Prasad, and production design by Thotta Tharani. The film has received glowing reviews from critics and audiences alike for its captivating narration, stunning visuals, and superb performances.

The film has also shattered several box office records by grossing over Rs 300 crores worldwide. The film has also been dubbed in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada languages.  The film is produced by Mani Ratnam and Subaskaran Allirajah under Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions.
