Vijay Antony’s bilingual film Pichaikkaran 2 in Tamil and Bichagadu 2 in Telugu hit theatres today, May 19, 2023. The film is a sequel to the 2016 blockbuster Pichaikkaran, which was a huge success at the box office and among the critics. However, the second part seems to have received a mixed response from the audience, who took to Twitter to share their opinions on the film.

Pichaikkaran 2 is written and directed by Vijay Antony himself, marking his directorial debut. He also composed the music, edited and produced the film under his production house, Vijay Antony Film Corporation. The film reportedly shows Vijay Antony in dual roles as a rich businessman and a beggar. The film also stars Kavya Thapar, John Vijay, Harish Peraddi, YG Mahendra, Ajay Ghosh, Yogi Babu and others in key roles.

The film had huge expectations among the fans of Vijay Antony, who appreciated his performance and music in the first part. However, the sequel seems to have failed to impress them on a larger scale. 

However, not all reviews are negative. Some fans praised Vijay Antony for his efforts in his debut as a director and his acting skills. Some also liked the screenplay, dialogues, comedy and action sequences of the film. Some even called it a ‘commercial hit’ and a ‘masala entertainer’.
