Simbu's upcoming film 'Pathu Thala' has been creating waves in the Tamil film industry ever since its announcement. The highly anticipated film recently launched its audio and trailer in a grand event that was attended by the biggies including the film's cast and crew. Obeli N. Krishna, whose previous films include "Jillunu Oru Kadhal" and "Nedunchalai," returns to directing with "Pathu Thala," after a lengthy absence.

The trailer, which was released on Saturday, has been making headlines and breaking records. In just 24 hours, it has garnered a whopping 14 million views on YouTube, making it one of the most viewed Tamil trailers in such a short span of time, and stands fifth on the list after the trailers of Varisu, Beast and Thunivu, Bigil, and Valimai, as per the film insiders' report.

The trailer is full of action scenes, and they all centre on Simbu's gangster character, AGR . Two feared gangsters, played by Simbu and Gautham Vasudev Menon, with Gautham Karthik's police officer entangled in their webs, drive the graph of the film. The trailer also promises to be a total spectacle due to A.R. Rahman's incredible background score and songs.

The film also boasts of an ensemble cast of talented actors such as Priya Bhavani Shankar, Kalaiyarasan, Santhosh Pratap, Redin Kingsley, and others. The film is produced by K. E. Gananavelraja's Studio Green. The film is all set to hit theatres on March 30, 2023, and the trailer has already set high expectations among Simbu's fans and movie buffs.
