Tamil Cinema has been unveiling the new path and the new venture of picturing the movies based with the adherence of prevailing caste imbalance that has been oiling the rampant faces and crimes of casteism that hadn't seen outspoken by Tamil movies before the decade.
Most of the movies that had released earlier covered the grounds of caste imbalance in the rural and remote villages of Tamil Nadu and most especially, these movies had covered the villages in far south of the state and so does that the movies that had pictured the demographic and cultural grounds that were seemed to have been reserved with the selected few communities. By accounting for being exceptional, there are only countable movies that had touched and spoken about the demographic grounds of Chennai and its people that had attempted to stay close to the reality life of the real Chennai. Amidst these cinematic culture, director Pa Ranjith had broken the fence through his maiden subject ' Atta Kathi' that had lighted the path of picturing the sensitive and the certain tone of Chennai life, where his first movie had traveled with portraying the demographic lifestyle of outskirts of Chennai, the on ground lingual practices, the factual atrocities and mindsets of the students who have been branding themselves as 'Root thala' - one of the disturbing issues that sedative the lives of the students, that had spoken in his movie 'Atta Kathi' where Ranjith had attracted the audiences through filming the real, local and existing life standards in northern parts of the city.
Having been admired as the movie with the mixture of comedy, drama and romance, Ranjith had also reserved some of the scenes with prevailing political corridors that somehow went unnoticed during that time on how the director will cement his upcoming films with politically outspoken that would erupt heatwaves. After flagging huge victory in his debut movie, Ranjith had directed 'Madras' movie which was starred by Actor Karthi in its lead role that had, for the first time, shown and took the audience for the short tour to the North Madras that had widely spoken about its political grounds, demographic and cultures, its unique style of romance and lingual and the anger and hostilities that prevails among the communities and through this movie, Ranjith's political speech and face had acquired with huge attention beyond cinematic fans that had revealed Ranjith's trend of making movies that are not meant to have commercial hit but have been directed with the packages of the huge motives and after registering his second consecutive victory, Ranjith had knocked with the surprising prospects to work with Super star Rajinikanth for the first time where he directed Super star himself in 'Kabali' movie that had stretched his hands till Malaysia where this story had traveled with the theme of the raise of the leader from the oppressed people and how he stands high in the international corridors- through his movie that had flagged hat-trick victories, Ranjith stood with his unique style of movie making by concentrating to reflect the pain of oppressed, indigenous people and registering their anger and anxieties and he ensured to water his exceptional style even directing the Super star.
As cementing his growth in Tamil Industry with his commitment to speak for the oppressed and for the unspoken where most of the industry had been speculating his next project and that's when it was confirmed that Ranjith will unite again with Rajinikanth in their second adventure, that had brought in more excitements, surprises and shock waves. In their second reunification, this duo had deeply touched the grounds of backward and oppressed people living in the slums of Mumbai through ' Kaala' where the movie's first poster had mounted the debate on the talking point that had predicted to oppose the 'Hindu Supremacy'. Having the motive to speak about the 'land rights' for the backward people, it had sent the strong messages across the states on voicing against the illegal land acquisition from those oppressed people - fiercely spoken indeed that was celebrated and admired by the people on Ranjith's political episodes and he stood with his word of providing equal rights for the oppressed people where through his 'Neelam cultural center', Pa Ranjith has been working to create potential prospects for such people and he had successfully produced the movie 'Pariyerum perumal' that had filmed the casteism and its imbalance in Tamil Nadu's Tirunelveli district.
Joining Pa Ranjith on filming the demographics like 'Madras' and land rights like 'Kaala' is director Vetrimaaran who had covered the collective subjects in his single frame and his single direction of ' Vadachennai'. As like Ranjith, Vetrimaaran had got inevitable and undeniable place in Tamil industry where he had already spoken about the life trends of Chennai through ' Polathavan' movie that was starred by Dhanush and on the opposite side of the aisle, Vetrimaaran had successfully directed the movie 'Aadukalam' which widely spoken about Madurai's local politics that had earned him the name of the fittest director to make the movies as per the prevailing corridors and Vetrimaaran's next big hit 'Visaranai' had registered international reach of speaking about the undertrials after which he had reunited with Dhanush- the duo of Dhanush and Vetrimaaran had attained huge hits, for his next movie 'Vadachennai' that has been admitted by most of the fans on picturing the real grounds of Northern Chennai but some had accused the movie for disrespecting the fishermen community but the movie's success had bypassed the critics with raining compliments.
Both these reputed and hopeful directors capable of taking Tamil cinema industry to next level had expressed their similarities in demographics through their movies and the latest one from Vetrimaaran is 'Asuran'- again starred by Dhanush, had reflected and mirrored his uniqueness where, through this movie, he had enhanced his notion of picturing the caste imbalance and its enmity along with land rights- these issues have been addressed by Ranjith in his real life and 'Asuran' has been unquestionably marching towards the line of success by the duo of Vetrimaaran and Dhanush which certainly replicates the duo of Ranjith and Rajinikanth.
With the nucleus of the 'Vekkai' novel written by the notable Tamil writer Poomani, 'Asuran' soars in the big screen that had shown the perfectness of Vetrimaaran in filming the issues that has been addressed by outspoken Ranjith - Ranjith's actionated approach of filming about the real time issues had been maturely carved by Vetrimaaran. Its with no doubt that the issues which prevails wont be resolved by handful of movies but its inevitable that the mass media like Cinema would frame the focus of resolutions and these two directors have set an example for potential out comers to create such ventures, the admirable ventures in future that will address and will voice the pains and anxieties of suppressed people and the real, unknown demographics and cultures.
