Its not as usual as how the rest of the foreign tour for Prime minister Narendra Modi had been as this tour of United Arab Emirates had seen talks to strengthen the bilateral ties as well as a pride, as he has been awarded with "Order of Zayed", the highest civilian honor in the Arab nation on Saturday as a sign of praising and appreciating his administration on endeavoring the bilateral ties between two nations.
While speaking about this honor, the Ministry of External affairs had said that the award which carries the name of the founding father of UAE, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, had attracted special significance as it has been awarded to Narendra Modi in the year of birth centenary of the founding father.
The Ministry further stated in its statement that the strategic and comprehensive partnership between the two nations have been elevated to new height after Prime minister Narendra Modi had staged his first visit to the oil rich nation in 2015 where the nations had new chapters of already enjoying warm, close cultural, religious and economic ties that have been observed by Abu Dhabi and New Delhi.
The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan had echoed the statement of Indian ministry of external affairs where he tweeted about the historic and comprehensive ties that has been enjoyed with India by the Emirates and had hailed Prime minister Modi on playing strong, important and pivotal role in boosting the relations.
Earlier in the month of April, the United Arab Emirates had conferred Modi as the recipient of the nation's highest civilian honor which has also been awarded to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Queen Elizabeth II and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
India and the United Arab Emirates have an annual bilateral trade of about $60 billion where UAE has been termed as India's third largest trade partner while the Arab nation is the fourth largest country to export crude oil to India.
