One of the all-time greatest NBA stars ever in its history, Kobe Bean Bryant - nicknamed as 'Black Mamba' on the court, had passed away in the helicopter crash along with his daughter Gianna and seven others in the city of Calabasas in California, reports say.
41-years-old Kobe Bryant was traveling in a private chopper that went down in the foggy weather in a hilly terrain outside Calabasas, CA, which is located 65 kilometers northwest of downtown Los Angeles. After the tragic incident had issued the conformity that Kobe was killed along with the rest of the people, the condolences have been pouring in from across all the directions and all the people, from the fellow athletes to the world leaders.
While addressing the reporters, Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva said that the incident reported with no survivors. By confirming the demise of Kobe Bryant and his daughter, NBA's commissioner Adam Silver had placed his condolences to Byrant's wife, Vanessa.
In his tribute note, Adam Silver said that Kobe was one of the most extraordinary players in the NBA's history with the accomplishments that are legendary. The reports say that the others on board were teammates from Bryant's daughter squad. County's chief of Fire department Daryl Osby stated that the fire and debris from the crash had spread over a quarter-acre of steep terrain of the Santa Monica Mountains.
Among the casualties was John Altobelli, the basketball coach of Orange Coast College. The news of Kobe's death had hit the headlines as one of the most tragic and horrific days in the NBA's history as the moments of silence were observed before the start of NBA games on Sunday. He has also been remembered at the Grammy Awards which have been hosted by the stadium of Los Angeles Lakers, the NBA team that was blessed to have Kobe on board for two decades.
NBA's legendary Michael Jordan said that he was in shock over the tragic news of Kobe's and Gianna's passing and stated that "words can't describe the pain I'm feeling". Jordan tributed Kobe as an amazing dad who loved his family deeply. The reports have aired the pictures of the gathering of Kobe's fans around the Staples Center- which has been the home stadium for LA Lakers and they carried the message -"Kobe we love you RIP". Most of the fans were seen with the jerseys with numbers 8 and 24- both of which represented Kobe on the court and some had broken down in tears, chanted his name and laid flowers.
Kobe Bryant has been one of the potential, respected and extraordinary athletes in the world who had left behind the inspirations, greatest legacy and glorious career. He was playing for Los Angeles Lakers for his entire career from 1996 to 2016 and during these two decades, Kobe had indeed touched the peak of the victories through his irreplaceable accomplishments. In 20 years, he was 18- time All-star of the game, 15-time member of the All NBA team and he was named as NBA's highest honor - Most Valuable Player ( MVP ) in 2008. He was also NBA's scoring champion two times and he has bagged the Olympic championship twice in 2008 and 2012.
Kobe Bryant was born in Philadelphia and he played his first NBA game at the age of 18 and he has been gained with eligibility to enter the Hall of Fame for this year. Bryant was surviving with his wife Vanessa and four daughters - Natalia, Bianca, Capri, and Gianna and Gianna was the one who died along with her father. She was 13-years-old. The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the National Transportation Safety Board have been investigating the tragic incident and the reports have stated that the investigations would take some months.
